THE MIDNIGHT MASS is a non-hierarchical animation collective established in 2023, with the aim of enabling and supporting the production of independent, auter-driven animation, aimed predominantly at older audiences. We at the MIDNIGHT MASS provide audiences with unique and fresh material, unlike the types of animated content that they may be currently familiar with.

We strive to give artists with alternative voices an opportunity to gain experience, experiment with new and innovative avenues in their work, and have their work seen. We are dedicated to an approach which focuses not only on content creation or output, but on a system of research, experimentation and a sharing of knowledge.

 

We encourage our artists to collaborate, and develop and practice new and exciting animation approaches. We support non-mainstream animation artists in pursuing their creative potential, whether in solo or collaborative endeavours, and provide a platform for their work to flourish.
